Date of final loss of snow:

BIOTIC CONDITIONS

Rodents abundance evaluation:

low

Breeding conditions:

There were low lemming and Arctic Fox numbers, and Snowy Owls did not breed. Skuas appeared in tundra in flocks of non-breeders up to mid-July. Breeding success of waders was thought to be lower than average, most probably because of the activity of predators.
